To save you time, we have listed some online shops which will cover the things you will need during your time in the UK as a student.....but because shopping is not only about buying essentials and can also a recreational activity (if you have the inclination...and sometimes, the patience), you will also find other helpful information about shopping and popular UK stores.
If you would prefer to actually go out of your front door to "real" shops, rather than shopping in cyber world, head to the shopping heaven that is London's Oxford Circus, Regent's Street and the surrounding areas. You will be able to find just about anything, good bargains and sales all year round, but be ready to fight the crowds!

Many shops offer student discounts, normally of 10% or more, so remember to ALWAYS carry your NUS (National Union of Students) card with you at all times; you just never know when you might need it!!
