Rules for the free prize draw
These rules apply to the free prize draw (the “Draw”) operated by foreignstudents.com Limited (“foreignstudents.com” or “we”) to win £500.
PARTICPANTS
The Draw is open to both UK and non UK residents aged 18 years or older and who have access to the Internet, except for employees of foreignstudents.com, their families, agents or anyone else connected with the operation or conduct of this Draw. We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. By entering the Draw, the entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and the terms of our Privacy Policy.
HOW TO ENTER
Entrants will be entered into the prize draw once they successfully complete the registration process on foreignstudents.com. No purchase is necessary for entry. Entrants are allowed a maximum of one entry per person. No third parties, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on 31st December 2008. We will not accept responsibility for entries lost through technical fault, incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries.
PRIZE
The prize consists of one £500. The winner will receive a prize of a cheque or, for those living outside of the United Kingdom and where a cheque drawn on a UK bank is not negotiable an International Monetary Order for £500 Sterling. There will be no alternatives offered and the prize is not transferable. We reserve the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal value.
CONDUCT OF DRAW
All valid entries for the Draw will be collated and will compete for the prize. The winner of the Draw will be the first valid entry drawn at random on the 15th January 2009. Foreignstudents.com shall notify the winner by 20th January 2009 by e-mail to his/her e-mail as given in the registration form. If the winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of receiving notification, then foreignstudents.com will re-draw and select a new winner who will be notified in the same way. Foreignstudents.com will send the prize to the winner within 7 days of the winner claiming the prize. The decision of foreignstudents.com is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. Details of the winner may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Foreignstudents.com, Crowndean House, 26 Bruton Lane, London W1J 6JH, United Kingdom.
PUBLICITY
Foreignstudents.com reserves the right to use the winners’ name, details and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
RESPONSIBILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law (but not otherwise) foreignstudents.com and its agents assume no responsibility and are not liable for (i) the accuracy or otherwise of the prize description or illustration; (ii) any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of the prize (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute and which cannot be excluded); (iii) the non-availability, loss, late receipt, damage of the prize; (iv) verifying whether the person awarded the prize is the person entitled to claim the prize; (v) any taxes, fees, charges or other costs which the winner may be required to pay from time to time in connection with the prize.
FOREIGNSTUDENTS.COM’S RIGHTS
Foreignstudents.com may: (i) extend any time limit specified in these rules; (ii) terminate, suspend and/or extend the Draw at any time due to supervening circumstances beyond foreignstudents.com’s control including (but not limited to) technical or operational problems with the foreignstudents.com website or for any fact, matter or circumstances which (in the opinion of foreignstudents.com) adversely affects, or may adversely affect the proper, fair or secure conduct or operation of any aspect of this Draw or its administration (in which event, notice of such termination, suspension or extension shall be placed on foreignstudents.com’s website for a limited time).
GENERAL TERMS
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in respect of the Draw. The operator of the Draw is Foreignstudents.com Limited, whose address is Crowndean House, 26 Bruton Lane, London W1J 6JH, United Kingdom who can be contacted by e-mail at support@foreignstudents.com.
