Account Manager - Horticulture

THE COMPANY
Our client is an internationally recognised and award-winning horticultural brand. Are you motivated, enthusiastic and looking for a challenge? Our client, an established horticultural business based in Albrighton require an Account Manager to manager customers in the UK and oversees.

THE ROLE
We are looking for someone with sales and account management experience in the horticulture industry who will be able to build and manage relationships with B2B customers, be a creative and analytical thinker, be able to identify good development opportunities and see projects through to fruition. The role is based at Head Office in Albrighton although the role requires travel throughout the year, mainly in Europe but also on a worldwide scale, sometimes at short notice. You will be creating new business and creating ideas and bespoke support packages to help these customers and their businesses. Investigating new markets, and maintaining up-to-date information on key players, supply networks, competitors and participating in the setting of strategy for individual markets. You will also be representing the company at trade shows, industry events and customer open days and increasing brand awareness in the trade and among consumers. Working as part of a small team of 5.

REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will be involved in managing and developing key accounts, identifying and investigating opportunities within their brief, researching markets, and reporting progress and findings. A background in the horticultural trade, and/or experience working with retailers is a distinct advantage along with languages and legal experience but not essential. Candidates must have a driving licence and current passport valid for travel and enjoy a challenge, be motivated, enthusiastic and a good communicator.
