Company Secretarial Trainee

The role
The role will suit someone who is keen to enter the company secretarial profession, but who may not yet have any experience. The candidate will be given the opportunity to undertake the ICSA Certificate in Company Secretarial Practice and Share Registration Practice.
Key Tasks
• To maintain client companies on specialist company secretarial software (“Blueprint”) and ensure all statutory deadlines are complied with including preparation and filing of annual returns;
• Incorporation of new companies;
• Dealing with Companies House correspondence received for client companies;
• Preparation of documentation for client companies including change in registered office, change in officers and change in accounting reference date;
• Preparation of accounts approval documentation;
• Preparation of dormant company accounts;
• Company searches;
• Filing of documents with Companies House;
• Assist with general administration of the department and special projects.

Work based competencies
• A good level of IT skills is required, including Microsoft Office suite – particularly Word and Excel (Windows VISTA). Training in using Blueprint will be provided.
