Mountjoy is the leading service provider of building and maintenance support across southern England. We have an excellent reputation for delivering flexible, tailored services, including new builds, major and minor refurbishments, alterations, extensions and rolling programmes of works across all building types and in both the public and private sectors. The company has ambitious growth plans to double in size over the next 5 years and is investing in its team to help deliver this.

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Costing Clerk to join the Isle of Wight Maintenance team in Newport.

What will I be responsible for?

Reporting in to the Resource Controller, the successful Costing Clerk will take responsibility for ensuring that all appointments are met for the day and that calls are received and information is recorded accurately on the system. You will also be responsible for the costing of all jobs carried out on the IOW. Your day to day responsibilities will also include:

- Raise new jobs ensuring they are the correct priority and budget code and schedule convenient appointments onto the system.
- Review any loss-making jobs and provide detailed information to relevant line manager
- Highlight any issues and trends to Supervisor/Manager in relation to task productivity where the expected demonstrated time for the trade and task has been exceeded.
- Ensure the Job Management Systems, Finance Systems and any other system(s) used to deliver the service, are updated in a timely and accurate way with all subcontractor, labour, plant, equipment, materials and other costs, and all billing information.
- Allocate the right tradesmen
- Capture issues as they arise and feedback to the Resource Controller any ongoing issues you have to enable them to action.
- Ensure jobs are completed and invoiced in the same month where possible in order to reduce WIP.

Who are we looking for?

As our ideal Costing Clerk, you will have the following skills and experience:

- Qualifications in Maths and English
- Experience in working in a maintenance contract
- Call Centre Environment
