Summary of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join Raytheon UK at our headquarters in Harlow.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager – Global Sensors (GS), the main focus of the role will be on providing high quality business partnering and accurate financial analysis to the GS programme team. This will include tracking results against forecast and budget, maintenance of financial reports, quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) production and guidance, attending programme and Gate reviews and ad-hoc financial analysis.

This is a varied role with great opportunities for further career advancement within a finance department of over 60 people covering, a variety of disciplines including general accounting, FP&A and pricing.

Main Duties

* Provide day-to-day financial support to wider GS team

* Understand and communicate the link between programme and financial performance across the business

* Compiling, agreeing and disseminating financial targets and forecasts to programme Managers to ensure forecasts are collaborative, understood and agreed prior to formal submission

* Support the quarterly EAC process

* Support Finance system reporting in SAP, BW (Business Warehouse) and Cognos for all GS programmes

* Support the development of EVMS (Earned Value Management system) tool and processes

* Champion best practice and look to improve systems and processes, liaising with the wider Finance teams

* Ensuring an environment of excellent financial governance

* Other ad-hoc analysis as required by the business and wider finance teams

Candidate Requirements

Essential

* Resilience to work in a fast-paced, changing organisation

* Attention to detail

* A team player who influences and collaborates across multiple functions in a matrixed environment to achieve goals

* CIMA/ACCA Qualified or Finalist or equivalent with proven relevant commercial experience

* Excellent knowledge of MS Excel

* Current holder of or eligibility to obtain MoD Secret (SC) level security clearance

Desirable

* Degree or equivalent in a business/finance related discipline

* Systems Experience in SAP, Cognos

* Defence industry experience
