Graduate Engineer

Our client is an advanced machining supplier at the leading edge of machining technologies. Due to business demand; they are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer or newly qualified apprentice to work in their Quality department.

You will be responsible for monitoring the quality of all manufactured goods, identifying defects and finding the root cause of the defect.

* Provide support and assistance in the FAIRs, FPD and concessions process. Support the quality team through related administration activities.

* Operate the CMM machines

* Complete visual inspection operation on all parts necessary

* Ensure all tools that require calibration are removed from the shop floor and sent for calibration. Monitor the location of all tools requiring calibration

* Assess parts against technical drawings to understand the conformance levels. Arrange for rework of parts where necessary.

* Generate documentation required to support the company’s processes.

* Generate and issue quality statistics

* Provide quality support to other functions

* Promote effective communication between your functional area and other functional areas of the business

* Read and understand customer specifications/standards. Create work instructions and SOPs to flow these requirements to the wider business

* Complete part identification operations and manual inspection processes

* Identify and advise your line manager of personal training requirements to ensure and enhance achievement of job role

* Always adhere to company Health & Safety policy and procedures
