Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Graduate Programme

This will be a 2-year programme starting in September 2022. It will provide you with valuable exposure and insight into Veolia services and strategic Veolia projects such as reviewing and reducing carbon emissions, improving infrastructure and improving the social value for the communities that we serve.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple exciting projects across the South East whilst supporting the South East Municipal management team in the delivery of key Environmental and Social Value projects. All whilst gaining vital exposure to several disciplines such as Financial Planning and P&L responsibility, Health and Safety and Environmental Management, Customer Service and Project Management.

As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you will go through a structured development programme, undertaking leadership, management, soft skills and safety modules with your graduate cohort.

What will you be doing?

Support the management team in the following day to day duties: client liaison, financial modelling, data-driven decision making, learning about upcoming legislation and supporting operational colleagues.
Manage projects to review and reduce carbon emissions, improve infrastructure and improve the social value for the communities that we serve.
Work with the operational management team to identify and implement improvement projects focusing on performance and efficiency of services.
Work closely with the digital transformation and communications teams to ensure the solutions delivered meet business expectations.
Develop and maintain positive relations with key council officers and other stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

Degree level qualification, preferably in an Environmental/Sciences field (a minimum of 2:1 to be achieved by Sept 2022)
Creative thinking and innovation
Communication and personal interaction skills
A commitment to / keen interest in environmental issues and improvement
Attention to detail and accuracy must be demonstrated
Full Driving Licence
Project management experience (desirable)
