Graduate Supply Cover Supervisors: Blackburn- ASAP

Due to an increasing demand in our secondary schools, we are currently looking for confident and driven graduates who are interested in working as a Supply Cover Supervisor. We have a number of secondary schools based around the area who need Supply Cover Supervisors to cover staff absences on a regular basis ensuring continuity for the students.

This is a great opportunity for graduates who are interested in having a career in the education sector. If you are hoping to embark on a PGCE qualification to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), then this is an excellent opportunity for you to gain the relevant experience which will prepare you for the course. The role will enable you to build your confidence with classroom and behaviour management without taking on the full responsibility of a class teacher role.

To be a Cover Supervisor you must:

Be a graduate educated to degree level
Have the ability to supervise a per-prepared lesson maintaining a positive learning environment
Have a confident approach in managing the behaviour of a class of 30
Have experience in supporting students/young people
Have a current Enhanced DBS - (ideally on the update service) or willing to complete oneWe can offer the following training relevant to the Cover Supervisor role:

Cover Supervisor Training - Level 1
An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Safeguarding, Child Protection and Prevent
Behaviour Management Training - Level 1As a Cover Supervisor you will have the flexibility to work the days and hours that you want in the areas that you prefer. You can work in some great schools and work with the students, supporting, encouraging and interacting in a range of different lessons.
