International Logistics Co-ordinator

An exciting new instruction for a key client and global manufacturing organisation for an International Logistics Co-ordinator, which is being presented on a fixed term contract basis initially for a minimum of 6 months with every chance it will be continued thereafter.
The full job description is outlined below but the main criteria we are looking for is:
Previous experience in a similar logistics related role
Some knowledge of INCOterm
Great IT skills, with SAP very desirable although NOT essential.
The ability to analyse and interpret data
Related decision making
With any foreign language skills considered an advantage but not essential.
Rate of Pay & Hours:
This position is paying an extremely favourable hourly rate and you will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm and Friday 9am – 4.30pm
Free parking is also available.
What will I be doing?
The main purpose of the role is to ensure, prepare and arrange the timely delivery of international and intercompany customers’ orders.
In addition you will:
Work closely with the intercompany and export customer service teams to ensure orders are released on time and aligned to the correct date
Work with the supply planning and production planning teams to ensure the customer orders can be fulfilled on time
Work closely with the Stock Control and Material Movement Coordinators to ensure the stock is available at the right time
Work closely with the 3PL teams on the processing of the outbound deliveries
Work on the production of export deliveries and process all export documentation
Facilitate the shipping of products from either the clients’ own warehouses or a partner 3PL to the customers’ delivery location
Arrange the release of stock on a FIFO (first in, first out) basis
Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay, checking credit and quarantine status. If required to ship under quarantine, ensure that this is done in compliance with company procedures. Arrange production of all necessary shipping documentation including Shipping Notes, Dangerous Goods Notes, EUR1, ATR, and Commercial Invoices
Continually reviews freight costs and transportation rates to keep costs down where possible
Streamline shipping and transportation processes where possible
Arrange the return of stock from a customer when needed and approved by management, following C&D approved processes
