Summary of Role
A fantastic opportunity to join Raytheon UK in our Airborne Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) division based in RAF Waddington.
The successful candidate will be part of the growing Airborne Solutions Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.
The IT Network Security engineer will be responsible for providing networking and operating system fault resolution for the in-service mission system environments and you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle of multiple programmes.

Basic Objective:
An IT Network security Engineer working within the DAOS approved Sentinel Software Support team providing networking and operating system expertise to enable the team to deliver software programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support ticket resolution for the Sentinel programme.
Supporting development of future secure operating system baselines.
Supporting future network implementations.
Providing guidance to the software engineers on security requirements for software development.
Developing documentation required to support software releases to the aviation environments.
Maintaining and developing the software development environment used by the software engineers.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Experience of administration and the design of Microsoft Windows environments (2003 to 2019), including implementation and design of complex Windows group policies for secure environments
Experience of CISCO networking products
An able communicator in verbal, written and presentation forms.
A logical problem solver, who can operate effectively under project and time constraints.
Able to use their initiative to identify opportunities to improve process and performance to enhance the service provided to the customer.
Experience evaluating systems and network devices and enterprise networks for IA/Security vulnerabilities
Desirable:
Degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience.
Some knowledge of Microsoft team foundation server.
CCNA (Routing & Switching) or working towards CCNA.
Some familiarity with common network vulnerability/penetration testing tools including, but not limited to, Kali Linux tools, Nessus, and Nmap.
Experience with Version Control Systems (eg Clearcase/TFS)
Understanding of working in a Military aviation environment.
The ability to support legacy system migration and support legacy system technologies.
Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance (RSL will sponsor as required)..
