Material Handling Design Apprenticeship

At Unipres (UK) Limited our Material Handling apprentices complete a 2-year bespoke Business Administration Standard Apprenticeship, based on site at our premises. Successful candidates receive “on the job” training from both Pin Point Training and Unipres Management in order to prepare for End Point Assessment at the end of their Apprenticeship.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an organisation using the most up to date technology within the sector and studying a high-quality educational programme whilst in full time employment, receiving above the national minimum wage for an apprentice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· New model initial study and budget setting

· Packaging and logistics engineering for new model

· Support purchase sourcing activity through logistics RFQ process

· Simultaneous engineering study for high cost / high cube parts

· Develop packaging for inbound / in house arts supply, ensuring adherence to NMUK engineering solutions

· Optimise logistics solutions to support lowest logistics cost whilst maintaining best service and parts quality requirements

· Management of new model project with OEM suppliers and packaging manufacturers

· Capital and revenue budget control

The Apprentice:

To be successful within our Material Handling Department you must be able to demonstrate the following:

· Outgoing, with the ability to contribute and integrate with senior staff members

· Positive, professional attitude and telephone manner

· A flexible approach to challenges and changes

· Ability to react quickly and use initiative to solve problems

· Must be self-motivated and committed to personal development

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to prioritise and organise own workload

· High standard of personal housekeeping

Entry requirements:

To be eligible to apply you must:

· Demonstrate the above qualities

· Have a sound knowledge of English and Maths

· Have strong IT skills

· Ability to commit to a full-time role with the ability to commute to Unipres premises based in Washington
