Sales and Quote Administrator

The role of the Product Marketer exists in order to deliver the highest possible sales and margin from their assigned classes and territories. This is primarily accomplished by using all available resources, reports, relationships and feedback the Marketer will constantly seek to find ways of increasing sales or margin through quote follow up exercises, backlog reviews, QBR’s or supplier meetings. By increasing their market and product knowledge the Marketer will constantly adapt their strategies to address the competitive landscape and market trends while maintaining focus on achieving corporate goals.

Responsibilities:
Work with Sales to clearly understand the opportunity and customer strategy behind a quotation, including proactively collating any further additional information, facts, inputs or feedback as required
On every quotation be clear about what the client’s cost is, what it represents and how that compares to what is available or likely to become available in the market place. Proactively seek to improve this cost and develop tactics to do this.
Execute daily replenishment buys report as requested
Build strong relationships with all internal and external staff including Sales and Suppliers in order to have access to the broadest information base, inputs, support mechanisms possible and find creative solutions
To articulate and maintain an awareness of the key customers, key current opportunities, top running products in portfolio, current franchise supplier strategies, strengths and weaknesses and current opportunities and threats in their customers and regions.

Qualifications and Experience:
Ability to organise, prioritise and act in a proactive manner.
Preferably be educated to degree level
Commercial awareness and a high level of business acumen to maximise their competitive advantage.

Should be at ease with high levels of numeric data & proficient in MS Excel
