Summary of Role

Raytheon UK is looking for a high performing individual to join their highly successful Customer Services and Support business area. This is a challenging role that will be highly rewarding and require excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will provide engineering support to legacy and current products. This role will involve communication and interfacing with customers and the Global Sensors Business Leadership team. The work location will primarily be based out of our Harlow facility with occasional visits to customer and other Raytheon facilities both in the UK and Internationally.

Main Duties

As a Senior Hardware Engineer you will be expected to work effectively within a multi-disciplined team to support and maintain In-Service legacy Raytheon products. Typical responsibilities are as follows:

* Identify and develop requirements for product upgrades and/or capability insertion

* Generate detailed designs for solutions that meet requirements

* Consider the demands of other disciplines within the design team

* Model concepts and assess solutions

* Design and implement test solutions

* Test and commission reference systems, products and systems

* Support customer discussions

* Problem solving, defect/Fault investigations and process improvement

* Configuration of product designs and their controlled change

Candidate Requirements

Essential

* Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, preferably Electronics Engineering

* Experience in electronic design and design changes; coupled with broad experience in electronic engineering practice and experience in product configuration and control

* Experience in Military Standard electronic component/subsystem selection and procurement

* Experience in effectively representing engineering professional services to both internal and external customers

* Current holder of or eligibility to obtain MoD Secret (SC) level security clearance

Desirable

* Working knowledge of RF Systems

* Experience in utilising EPLD designs within a system

* Experience with interfacing to RF circuitry and high speed D/A /A/D conversion

* Ability to design support circuitry such as bespoke interfaces, including PIC and microcontroller development

* Understanding of the impacts of EMC and Environmental requirements on your design
