Vacancy Overview: Senior performance Analyst

My client a leading energy provider is looking to engage a Senior Performance Analyst to join them on a 6-month temporary basis at their location in Croydon. As Senior Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for the production of the financial reporting and forecasting of the business. The Energy Services Senior Performance Analyst is responsible for the production of summary financial reporting of the business down to EBIT. These processes will be carried out according to accounting standards and timetables. Results will be developed in consultation with the Leadership Team. Final decisions on the figures to be reported in the accounts will be taken by the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Head of Gross Margin.
You will need to be customer focused, recognised as a trusted business partner, commercially aware and have strong analytical and financial knowledge. You will ideally have previous knowledge of project accounting.

Deliverables: Senior Performance Analyst

* Influence and challenge Energy Services in monitoring and improving business performance, through direct engagement with the Energy Services leadership team and managers

* Provide quality financial and operational management information to Energy Services, supporting the business on the key performance metrics and business decisions to ensure the business is managed to the highest possible standards.

* Challenge the Energy Services Management team in the development of financial Strategy and Plans for the business ensuring they are accurate, achievable and deliver the required financial performance.

* Produce the month end, MTP and current year re-forecasts for Energy Services including engaging with and reporting through to Customers Finance.

* Be a key player in the relationship between Customers Finance and the Energy Services Management team. Enable the Energy Services team to be their first port of call for financial information, independent advice on performance and analytical review.

* Produce regular, accurate financial reporting for Energy Services according to the Energy accounting calendar. The role has responsibility for Project performance reporting, Gross Margin, Opex, Capex and Cashflow reporting and forecasting

* Work with Energy Services and the Customers Finance balance sheet team to enable accurate and timely reporting and forecasting of Energy Services inventories and creditors.

* Challenge the Energy Services and HR teams on the financial and practical elements of incentivisation to deliver effective, practical schemes that enable B2B to deliver its financial commitments.

Skills & Qualifications: Senior Performance Analyst
Essential
· Qualified to degree level in a numerical subject, or evidence of equivalent experience
· A Financial qualification such as CIMA, or evidence of equivalent experience
· Project Accounting experience.
· Experience of production of financial and operational performance reporting to aid decision making
· Highly analytical and numerical; comfortable discussing technical subject matter
· Good knowledge of relevant business & financial end to end processes
· Experience of monitoring & controlling processes, whilst demonstrating continuous improvement as a result of monitoring control KPIs
· Ability to manage to tight timescales, meet key stakeholders demands whilst maintaining excellent customer service
· Knowledge of energy markets
· Very good senior stakeholder management, including influencing, negotiation and consulting
· Understanding of the energy industry and the processes involved in energy supply
· Strongly customer-focused and action orientated

Desirable
· Good knowledge of SAP both for reporting and planning systems.
· Able to challenge accepted ways and consider options to improve business proposals
· Experience of the UK Electricity industry, and in particular Energy Services
