Teaching Assistant

The salary for this role is £70-80 per day, depending on experience.

The Role:
The school is seeking a very good general Teaching Assistant to start with them as soon as possible, until the end of the academic year in July, with the possibility of the position continuing in September. He role is initially to work as a general Teaching Assistant, with the usual expectations associated with this type of role, including small group work, whole class work, preparing resources for lessons etc. There will also be some aspects of a Learning Support Assistant involved, such as working with small groups and individual children on guided reading and also helping a group of children with developing their Maths skills. Essentially, the school is seeking a good all-rounder who is ready for anything!

The school:
This is modern school with large classrooms and lots of space! They are led by a dedicated leadership team and the Headteacher has been at the school for around 5 years now. In that time, he has moved the school from "good" to "outstanding" and this is down to the commitment of the staff here.

The school is well resourced, with a brilliant library and ICT suite.
The class itself are lovely and having been with the present class teacher since Year 2, are very settled. Behaviour is good and they are keen to learn. You will be working closely with the class teacher, who is seeking a forward-thinking Teaching Assistant who can second guess what is required!

*Have experience in a UK primary classroom as a Teaching Assistant
*Have an enthusiastic, proactive approach
*Be able to engage children
*Work effectively as part of an established year group team and be able to think on your feet!
