Inventory and Stock Administrator

The role of the Asset Manager is to place purchase orders with our suppliers to fulfil customer orders and maintain stock levels on top selling devices. It is their responsibility to source and/or negotiate the best market price for the product and ensure it arrives at the right cost and at the right time. It is a key part of the role to quickly resolve discrepancies at each stage in the order cycle to make certain we meet the customers committed delivery date while keeping inventory costs to a minimum. For example; that the correct paperwork is in place, that pricing and receiving issues are resolved, necessary reschedules or cancellations are actioned and other departments are quickly involved in issues where needed.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Place daily purchase orders with suppliers using the Inventory Management System (IMS)

2. Ensure relevant paperwork and a customer credit line is in place prior to purchase of high value/customer specific products.

3. Review and authorise customer order changes and cancellations.

4. Review supplier purchase orders through IMS and action reschedules or cancellations as needed.

5. Fix order price discrepancies with marketing / suppliers.

6. Work with the asset team in Asia and Montreal to facilitate the smooth transfer of stock between Distribution Centres where required.

7. Address receiving discrepancies with EMEA Distribution Centre/ Product Marketing.

8. Be the first point of contact on customer production line down resolution.

9. Profile inventory using IMS and product marketing/supplier inputs

10. Work with sales, product marketing and suppliers to reduce slow moving inventory levels.

11. Coordinate stock rotations and scrap with the Montreal Return to Vendor (RTV) team, Product Marketing Manager (PMM) Asset and Suppliers.

12. Follow the Asset Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times.

13. Any additional projects or duties as management may at times require.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. Ideally educated to degree level.

2. Previous experience in purchasing preferable but not essential.

3. Is able to organise, prioritise and has a proactive approach to tasks.

4. Has excellent communication and relationship building skills.

5. Can proactively identify areas where current processes are flawed and find ways to address them.

6. Is able to perform well under pressure and deliver to deadlines

7. Shows flexibility and can adapt to the needs and demands of different groups, situations and markets
