Assistant Accountant- 12 Month Contract

Another great opportunity in central Bath to join a successful international company on a 12-month fixed term contract. As Assistant Accountant, you will need to be AAT qualified and/or studying towards a further finance qualification.

Assistant Accountants responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Production of management accounts
* Production of project accounts
* Preparation of accruals and prepayments
* Variance analysis of monthly expenditure by cost centre
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting
* Production of regional financial information for senior management
* Provide full assistance to Regional Accountant including ad hoc reporting
* Support with the financial audit of projects
* Project related housekeeping tasks within the finance system, Agresso
* Monitoring missing timesheets for the region
* Production of invoicing for complex projects
* Responsible for issuing and checking work in progress balances
* Various reconciliations
* Ad Hoc financial training of engineers
* Support to other regional teams when required

Person specification:

* Excellent computer and IT skills including; Excel and Word
* At least 2 years' experience in a comparable role
* Multi-currency experience beneficial
* Complex sales invoicing experience
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
* Attention to detail and highly organised
* Good communication skills
* Confident, proactive character, with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations
* Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
* Experience of supporting a team of people as well as working on a one to one basis
* Ability to understand the nature of the work the team carries out, and interacts with other team members in the delivery of their work
* Prior experience of the Agresso Finance and/or Deltek Vision software would be an advantage
* Prior experience of a project focussed organisation would be an advantage

Qualifications:

* * Good secondary and/or tertiary education: A levels, HND/C or degree
* * Passed AAT and/or studying towards a further finance qualification, ideally CIMA or ACCA
