Regulatory Development Consultant

ROLE PURPOSE

As part of Advisory Services (AS), the key objective of the regulatory consultancy team is to help firms raise standards thereby enabling them to safeguard their reputation, mitigate regulatory risk and ensure positive outcomes for customers.

The Regulatory Development Consultant is responsible for supporting regulatory business development activity in order to help secure a longer term and more profitable engagement pipeline.

At the core of this role is internal relationship management across the other AS delivery teams (Financial Crime Risk and Fraud), the Sales and Marketing teams and the Markets & Propositions team. The Regulatory Development team is the conduit between the regulatory subject matter experts (SMEs) and all other areas of the business, ensuring we maximise consultant utilisation on client delivery. This will enable us to play to the team's key strengths in ensuring our technical experts are increasingly utilised whilst maximising our resources to win and cross sell more new business.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Tasks

* Act as the conduit between the delivery SMEs, Sales & Marketing and the Markets and Propositions team, ensuring a continual feedback loop from project delivery in order to continuously develop and inform our propositions and delivery capabilities.
* Co-ordinate regulatory Thought Leadership activity feeding into and influencing current and future propositions and capabilities.
* Work proactively and collaboratively with the sales team to identify sales opportunities aligned to delivery capabilities, sector vertical themes and our strategic objectives.
* Co-ordinate and support the design of a suite of "best in class", off the shelf proposals in collaboration with the BMU and SMEs for all regulatory consultancy capabilities.
* Support the delivery of high quality bespoke proposals in collaboration with the BMU, the AS delivery SMEs and our sector vertical teams for specific opportunities and tenders.
* Responsible for the co-ordination of all regulatory consultancy post-delivery administration including case studies, client testimonials and post engagement feedback.
* Support the maintenance and on-going development of all capability value statements and delivery collateral.
* Production of key performance indicators and utilisation statistics
* Support the Head of Regulatory Development to ensure maximum utilisation of our delivery resource.
* Responsible for the ongoing production and reporting of key performance indicators, including consultant utilisation, pipeline compliance and timesheet reporting.

* A thorough understanding of our regulatory delivery capabilities and how these align to our target market.
* Exceptional teamwork and relationship management skills in order to work 'hand in glove' with BMU, Sales, Marketing and the Markets & Propositions teams to proactively identify market leading opportunities.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills; specifically the ability to assess business practices and articulate gaps and opportunities for improvement.
* Strong project and organisational skills.
* Holder of financial services qualifications.
