‘UK Needs to Recover its Higher Education Reputation'

The head of UKCISA has claimed that Britain must create more international student scholarships to counter the perception that UK universities only want foreign students for their fees. Paul Webley, who is also director and principal at SOAS, emphasised the benefits that international students bring to UK higher education and to society more widely- "It is for our benefit that they come here, for the benefit of our students and our research."                                                                                                                                                                                   READ MORE...

Women's World Cup Final sets Twitter record

The final of the women's football World Cup was held yesterday, and whilst it may not have been watched by as many people as the men's World Cup final, it did manage to break a Twitter record. A Little bit of Rain in Scotland

Who ever said it was grim up North? Well here is a video of just ‘a little bit of rain' in Perth (in Scotland, not Australia), that doesn't quite dispel that rumour.
