University College London (or UCL for short) is the largest individual member of the University of London and in 2010 was ranked the fourth best university in the world by Times Higher Education. It is advertised as ‘London’s Global University’ and over a third of its 22,000 students come from outside the UK.
International students can choose from a huge range of courses at UCL, and are offered many opportunities for further international study through strong academic ties to other universities. What’s more, a degree from UCL is highly regarded by both UK and international employers.
Based in the centre of London, UCL students are immersed in a melting pot of cultures, ideas and opportunities. The main UCL buildings are within walking distance of the British Museum, the West End and Oxford Street shopping to name just a few local attractions.
