Despite its relative youth, it has achieved a lot, and was one of the founding members of the elite Russell Group of British universities, therefore showing a commitment to the highest levels of academic excellence in both teaching and research.

The University comprises of six campuses- four main ones in the city of Southampton, one in nearby Winchester, and an international branch in Malaysia.

The University's location offers you the best of both worlds- Southampton is a thriving city with 200,000 inhabitants (and just an hour away from London), but it is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the New Forest, as well as beaches. Southampton is known as a safe city with plenty of shopping and sports facilities, and its large student population guarantees a good selection of bars and clubs.

One added bonus at the University is that all international students have guaranteed accommodation during their first year studies in the Halls of Residence.
