The University of Sheffield attracts students from over 120 countries thanks to its global reputation for teaching and research. It is set in the friendly and quickly developing city of Sheffield and has links to institutions around the world.

Sheffield offers a huge range of subjects to study, at a number of different levels. International students can choose from a long list of courses at foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate level, and will benefit from gaining a qualification from a highly respected institution.

The University of Leeds is the second largest university in the UK and has a thriving international community, with 130 countries represented by the 30,000 students that study at Leeds.

International students can choose from over 700 taught undergraduate programs and 470 postgraduate, covering almost every course imaginable. Though not at the very top of the of the UK academic tables, Leeds is still a well respected university that offers a wide range of courses with a good reputation.

University of Westminster

The University of Westminster is located on Regent Street, right in the centre of London, and has been a centre for public education for170 years. Today, the university has over 5,000 international students, from 130 countries all over the world.

Students have a choice of over 500 degree programmes covering a huge range of subject areas. However, Westminster has a particularly strong reputation for its courses in Media, Communication, Art and Design.

The university has a very student-orientated focus, and students both run and attend a lot of the social and entertainment services, with the award-winning student radio and newspapers being propelled by the youth at the university.

Westminster is the political centre of London and is densely surrounded by bars, clubs, restaurants, theatres, art galleries and shops.

University of Manchester

If you choose to study at the University of Manchester, you will certainly be in good company, as Manchester has the most international students of any university in the UK. Indeed, there are 8,800 internationals from 180 different countries studying at Manchester, making up 23% of the total number of students.

Students can choose from a huge range of subjects at Manchester, almost all of which have a very strong reputation within the UK. The vast number of students and courses at Manchester has even led to it being called ‘Britain’s most popular university’. The university is a city based institution, with its buildings spread throughout Manchester in the north of England. University College London (UCL)

University College London (or UCL for short) is the largest individual member of the University of London and in 2010 was ranked the fourth best university in the world by Times Higher Education. It is advertised as ‘London’s Global University’ and over a third of its 22,000 students come from outside the UK.

International students can choose from a huge range of courses at UCL, and are offered many opportunities for further international study through strong academic ties to other universities. What’s more, a degree from UCL is highly regarded by both UK and international employers.

Based in the centre of London, UCL students are immersed in a melting pot of cultures, ideas and opportunities. The main UCL buildings are within walking distance of the British Museum, the West End and Oxford Street shopping to name just a few local attractions.
