King’s College London has a strong tradition of academic excellence and today remains one of the most respected universities in the UK.

King’s does not specialize in any particular area of study and offers international students a huge choice of courses. University of Edinburgh

The University of Edinburgh has an impressive history extending back to 1582 and is located in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is ranked among the best universities in the world and notable alumni include former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

International students have the choice of over 600 undergraduate degree programmes as well as 150 postgraduate opportunities. Edinburgh is particularly highly regarded for its courses in Medicine, Law and Engineering.

Student life at Edinburgh revolves around both the university Student Union and the city in which it is based. The Student Union is one of the oldest in the world and comprises of seven floors and five bars, offering students a different night out every day of the week, whilst the city of Edinburgh has all the benefits you would expect from a capital city.

University of Northumbria at Newcastle

The University of Northumbria is one of the largest universities in the UK and attracts 30,000 students from all over the world. The award winning campus is set in the middle of the busy city of Newcastle and offers students a varied and interesting way of studying and living.

Northumbria does not specialize in any particular area of study, but instead offers international students a huge range of different courses in both academic and more practical subjects, at all levels from foundation to postgraduate courses.

Northumbria is a campus university but which is located in the middle of the city of Newcastle. Millions of pounds have been spent on the campus in recent years and it now offers excellent social and sporting facilities. The city of Newcastle also offers everything you would expect from a large city.

University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham has one of the biggest populations of international students in the UK- 7,900 internationals make up almost a quarter of the entire student body.

The students are offered a huge choice of undergraduate, postgraduate and lower level courses, all of which are taught to a high academic standard. The university regularly places in the top 20 in UK university league tables and has a high reputation in Britain.

However, the University of Nottingham is not just about academic quality. Students enjoy the benefits of being campus based but also in the middle of a vibrant city. The campus has won numerous awards and offers a nice mix of countryside and facilities, whilst the city offers a huge choice of social opportunities.

University of Greenwich

Based in East London, the University of Greenwich has 23,000 students from more than 140 different countries and has become increasingly popular with large numbers of international students over the last few years.

The university offers a wide range of courses, which tend to have a strong work related emphasis, with many incorporating vocational placements. There is a large array of subjects from Accounting to Sports Science.

At Greenwich, the student experience is shaped by the two well-attended Students’ Unions that the university has to offer, which provide regular social and sporting activities through the various societies.

There is also the East End of London to enjoy, which is undergoing major redevelopments in time for the 2012 Olympics. Nearby attractions include the world-class O2 Arena, which hosts international live music acts and a variety of restaurants.
